Hey, guys! Shortbread cookies are one of the most simple cookie recipes you’ll ever find. While they may be simple, they’re delicious! They have a one of a kind buttery taste you won’t find anywhere else. Unless you make a butter cookie, because those taste pretty buttery too :P. My recipe creates a soft shortbread cookie that crumbles as you chew. You can add your own signature touch on these by adding a chocolate drizzle or really anything you want!
Makes: 24 cookies Bake Time: 14 minutes
What You’ll Need
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of softened butter
1/2 of a cup of white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Optional: Milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, nuts, etc…
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line pan with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar in bowl. Cream until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually and in flour.
I told you this recipe was simple! The dough will be crumbly, but will combine well when you scoop it onto the baking sheet.
- Using your amazing 1-inch scoop, press the dough into the scoop.
- Bake at 350° F for 14 minutes, or until edges and top brown.
